Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and results-oriented Business Development Manager to join our team in the West Midlands region. As a Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for driving business growth, developing new client relationships, and expanding our market presence in the region. Your primary focus will be on identifying and securing new business opportunities, fostering strategic partnerships, and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive business development strategy to achieve sales targets and drive revenue growth in the West Midlands region.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, networking, lead generation, and cold calling.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including potential clients, industry partners, and influencers.
  • Conduct thorough market analysis to identify trends, competitive landscape, and potential areas for expansion.
  • Collaborate with the marketing team to develop and implement effective marketing campaigns and initiatives to support business development efforts.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals to prospective clients, highlighting the unique value proposition of our products/services.
  • Negotiate and close sales agreements and contracts, ensuring mutually beneficial terms for both the company and the client.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities, providing regular updates to the management team.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams, including product development, operations, and customer support, to ensure successful execution of projects and client satisfaction.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, market dynamics, and emerging technologies that may impact our business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field. A Master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth, preferably in a B2B environment.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of market dynamics and industry trends.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels.
  • Demonstrated experience in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, including lead generation, cold calling, and networking.
  • Exceptional negotiation and closing skills, with the ability to create win-win solutions.
  • Self-motivated and target-driven individual with a proactive and results-oriented approach.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities and deadlines effectively.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools to track and manage leads and opportunities.
  • Knowledge of the West Midlands business landscape and existing industry networks is highly desirable.
