Your role

  • Reporting directly to the Branch Manager
  • Be part of a small sales team and take responsibility for developing new business.
  • You will be tasked to find new business, giving potential into the wider Company’s regions, making a significant impact on the growth of the branch business at Durham.
  • As a Business Development Manager you will be an expert on our product, confidently marketing the benefits of the business across our region and beyond.
  • We will encourage you to build your own customer base by engaging with prospects via telephone, email and online communication..
  • You will play a pivotal part in the success of the business here at the Durham branch of the Company.

Essentially you will

  • Be experienced in selling International & UK road freight business, with your drive to enhance the growth at our branch.
  • You will come with a proven road transport sales background, ideally from within the freight forwarding sector.
  • Have strong awareness of the digital and e-commerce selling techniques.
  • Be fearless in running with and selling our freight forwarding  product.
  • Have the organisational skills to balance and prioritise numerous challenges within our business.


Negotiable depending on experience, plus a healthy bonus, car and pension


08.00hrs to 17.00hrs with 1 hour lunch
