Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and oversee all commercial activities within the organisation, including contract negotiation, pricing, and agreement execution.
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize sales revenue and profitability, while ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including customers, suppliers, and business partners.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities, conducting market research and competitive analysis to support decision-making.
  • Analyze market trends, customer behavior, and competitor activities to identify potential risks and opportunities for growth.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, marketing, and operations, to drive business objectives and achieve revenue targets.
  • Prepare and present regular reports, performance analysis, and forecasts to senior management, highlighting key commercial insights and recommendations.
  • Lead contract negotiations and manage the contract lifecycle, ensuring terms and conditions are favorable and compliant with company policies.
  • Monitor and assess the performance of existing contracts, identifying areas for improvement and implementing necessary adjustments.
  • Stay updated on industry developments, regulations, and best practices related to commercial management, and propose relevant process enhancements.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field. A master’s degree would be a plus.
  • Proven experience in a similar role as a Commercial Manager, Business Development Manager, or related position.
  • Strong knowledge of commercial principles, contract management, and negotiation techniques.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and implement effective commercial strategies and drive business growth.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and negotiate with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Proficiency in using Microsoft Office suite and commercial management software.
  • Familiarity with relevant regulations and compliance standards in the UK.
