Responsibilities

  • Prepare and process export documentation, including invoices, shipping documents, and customs paperwork, ensuring compliance with international trade regulations
  • Coordinate with freight forwarders, shipping lines, and customs agents to arrange and monitor the shipment of goods
  • Verify accuracy of shipping instructions, product details, and other relevant information
  • Communicate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to resolve any issues or discrepancies related to export shipments
  • Ensure all necessary export licenses and permits are obtained and maintained
  • Maintain accurate records of shipments, including tracking information and documentation
  • Stay up to date with changes in international trade regulations and customs procedures
  • Assist with other administrative tasks and projects as assigned

Requirements

  • Previous experience working as an Export Clerk or in a similar role
  • Excellent knowledge of export procedures, documentation, and international trade regulations
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in processing paperwork
  • Proficient computer skills, including experience with export documentation software and Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving issues
  • Familiarity with customs procedures and familiarity with shipping terms and regulations
  • Knowledge of specific industry regulations and requirements (e.g., pharmaceuticals, electronics, etc.) is a plus
