Job title: Export Area Sales Manager

Hours: 35hpw

Location: This role covers the Midlands Sales Area.

Job specification:

  • 12 quality face to face sales calls per week with a focus on new business development
  • Actively and professionally promote the group in the specific sales area
  • Maximise volume/revenue returns from exiting customer based
  • Sales focal point for special cargoes, Class 1, MOD, High Value, Currency, etc
  • Preparation and execution of presentations to customers
  • Organise and develop a target account strategy for BCO and freight forwarder business
  • Credit assessment for new or increasing business
  • To maintain a complete knowledge of the services and facilities
  • Recommend and take relevant action when Budget is not being achieved
  • Weekly de-brief with management team providing market feedback and direct customer requirements
  • Attend quarterly performance reviews with External Sales Manager
  • Meeting planning, preparation and prompt completion of visit reports via CRM tool
  • Prepare and present customer and budget performance to the quarterly review meetings
  • All major customers to be maintained with global potential and identified trade lane volumes
  • To identify target accounts, report on development and secure new business
  • Active promotion of the groups E-Commerce capabilities and value-added products/services
