Job Summary

As an Inside Sales Representative in the Freight Industry, you will play a crucial role in driving sales growth and expanding our customer base.

With your in-depth knowledge of the freight industry, including European, road, ocean, air, customs operations, and warehousing, you will be responsible for generating leads, developing new business opportunities, and closing sales deals.

Your strong communication and selling skills, combined with your confidence on the phone, will be essential to succeed in this role.

Our client is based in Bristol


  • Generate sales leads and proactively seek out new business opportunities in the freight industry.
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of potential customers through cold calling, email campaigns, networking, and other sales strategies.
  • Understand customer needs and requirements, and provide appropriate solutions and services.
  • Conduct product presentations and demonstrations to potential customers.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions of contracts to close sales deals.
  • Collaborate with internal teams such as operations, logistics, and customer service to ensure smooth execution of sales orders and customer satisfaction.
  • Keep accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and deals closed using CRM software.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and competitor activities to identify new sales opportunities and maintain a competitive edge.
  • Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking events to enhance industry knowledge and establish relationships with potential customers.
  • Meet or exceed sales targets and contribute to the overall growth and success of the company.


  • 2-3 years of experience in the freight industry, with a strong understanding of European, road, ocean, air, customs operations, and warehousing.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage customers on the phone.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and generating new business in a competitive market.
  • Strong negotiation and selling skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and provide effective solutions.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in using sales tools and technologies.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to prioritize tasks and manage a high volume of sales activities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing market conditions and customer requirements.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field is preferred, but not mandatory.
