Job  Purpose

  • Supervise and oversee the work of a regional inside sales representatives team
  • Ensure that inside sales operations run smoothly, providing ongoing professional development opportunities for the inside sales staff, motivate the sales staff to achieve sales targets and develop an effective step-by-step process of nurturing leads and closing sales
  • Utilize market analysis tools to determine customer behaviour, market trends, and competitor activity
  • Ensure sales targets are met through telemarketing, direct mail, and web-based sales strategies

Key Tasks and  Responsibilities

  • Achieve sales goals by hiring and training employees and coaching them to develop their selling skills and maintain adequate sales pipelines
  • Ensure that project/department milestones/goals are met while adhering to approved budgets
  • Ensure that an accurate record of all leads and actual sales is kept
  • Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines
  • Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
  • Addressing and resolving customer complaints
  • Use customer feedback to generate ideas about new features or products
  • Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement
  • Ensure sales, finance and legal policies and procedures are met
  • Build an open-communication environment for your team
  • Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency and increase sales
  • Evaluating current sales practices and procedures to determine whether they are effective in generating sales
  • Recommending and implementing improvements to current sales practices and procedures as needed
  • Any other delegated tasks deemed as reasonable as assigned by the reporting manager

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

  • Proficiency with CRM software and MS Excel
  • In-depth understanding of the sales administration process
  • Excellent interpersonal and team management skills
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Numerical abilities and problem-solving attitude
  • Previous International logistics experience – all modes (Sea, Air, Road, & Courier) – preferred
  • Previous formal sales training preferred
  • Well presented, professional individual with excellent written and verbal language skills
  • Ability to effectively negotiate and build a pricing model / quote for a customer
  • Ability to create and implement strategies
  • Exceptional customer service skills
