Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve revenue targets and drive business growth in the road freight sector.
  • Identify and prospect potential clients within the assigned territory, including manufacturers, distributors, and logistics companies.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients, understanding their needs and providing effective solutions.
  • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, competitors, and new business opportunities.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to potential clients, highlighting the value of our road freight services.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to ensure seamless execution of client shipments and outstanding customer service.
  • Negotiate pricing, contracts, and terms of agreements with clients, ensuring profitability and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor and analyze sales performance, providing regular reports and insights to management.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments, regulations, and market dynamics relevant to road freight services.
  • Attend trade shows, conferences, and networking events to expand professional network and promote company services.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in sales or operations within the road freight or logistics industry.
  • Excellent knowledge of road freight operations, processes, and industry trends.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain long-term relationships with clients.
  • Self-motivated and results-oriented, with a passion for exceeding targets.
  • Good understanding of market dynamics and the ability to identify new business opportunities.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and proficiency in using sales tools and techniques.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as needed.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Education & Experience

  • Proven experience in road freight sales, with a minimum of 3 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Existing network and contacts within the road freight industry is a plus
