• Coordinate and manage sea freight shipments from origin to destination.
  • Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, customs documents, and other required paperwork.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and shipping lines to ensure smooth and timely shipment delivery.
  • Provide accurate and up-to-date information to clients regarding their shipments.
  • Track and monitor shipments, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and requirements.
  • Resolve any issues or discrepancies that may arise during the shipping process.
  • Collaborate with internal departments and external partners to optimize shipping processes and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to sea freight operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of all sea freight transactions and documentation.


  • Previous experience working in sea freight operations or a similar role.
  • In-depth knowledge of sea freight procedures, regulations, and documentation.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficient in using computer systems and relevant software applications.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
  • Familiarity with customs regulations and international trade practices is preferred.
  • A degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field is desirable.

Salary & Benefits

The salary range for the Sea Freight Clerk position is £30,000 – £40,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
